Was quated $350 for Kinetik 1800, wondering if there is any other batteries just as good or better for less. Around Durham area, any help is appreciated.

you should be able to get an optima yellow top for about 250$...i have one and it works great(in a 02 cavalier as well)

why do u need a crazy expensive battery. jus buy a normal battery. none of your car audio stuff runs off the battery. they run off the alternator. kinetics dont do much and there way over priced

 

Usually to power crazy expensive audio systems.....

If you play even a smaller system for awhile with your engine off, you will appreciate the second battery when you go to start your car.

Actually....ALL of your audio stuff has the battery AND alternator as part of their electrical circuit.....weak points anywhere can and do cause problems.

Kinetics do what any other specialty battery does....provide power for a given load over a period of time....how long they can hold a usable voltage under extreme current demands and how fast they can be recharged is what separates them form a "normal" car battery.

Whether the cost is fair...... I
