Need Your Help :)

Hey guys I'm new to car audio.
I was just wondering if it would be better to get new speakers first, or subs first, as I do not have the money to purchase it all at once.
Does it really matter which I add first?
And also, what is your opinion on some good component speakers that aren't too pricey.
Thanks.

go with subs and x-over your factory speakers at 160hz for now. You'll need an amp though so if you're on a budget... remember install, box, wire etc will add to the cost.

it all depends on what you want. What do you have currently in your vehicle? If you have nothing, then just a sub system will sound pretty crappy. If you have a decent stock system, then you can add the sub system you want, and "de-tune" it for now to match your stock system. When you get the rest of the system, you can turn up the sub and adjust it to match your new system. If your current system really sucks, then I suggest fixing that first and getting the sub later. A good sytem can be had without a sub....a great sub on it's own will never make a good sytem!

I am going to upgrade my speakers, its just a matter of saving up the cash.
I can get a great deal on a box with 2 10" jbl's and a fosgate amp for like $300. My stock system isn't that bad. I drive a 2003 civic. I think it has a stock pioneer system, but either way I already have a pioneer deck put in. If I could i'd buy it all at once, but I dont have the cash, so I was thinking of gradually putting it together. Im just thinking bass will add a little extra until I can get some nice component speakers.

Haha, i think i know what subs you're talking about, the guy is selling them in a carpeted/plexiglass box right?

I just added subs to my stock system and they sound great, but at the right volume not to overpower your stock speakers. I would definately go with the subs.

there is an ad for these on facebook marketplace. yeah the box is caperted and plexiglass front. Why, is it a bad deal? Have you heard these subs before?
It seems like a good deal to me though for the cash.
