As the title states, I'm in dire need to upgrade. I've been rocking the same system for 6 years and it's just not doing it, nor was it ever.

Amp is a 1000watt insignia with specs: 320W peak output @ 1% THD, bridged
310W peak x 2 @ 2 ohms; 220W peak x 2 @ 4 ohms
155W RMS (continuous) x 2 @ 2 ohms; 110W RMS (continuous) x 2 @ 4 ohms.

The subwoofers are: 4-layer edge-wound voice coil
frequency response 27-3,000 Hz
RMS power handling 40-150 watts RMS
peak power handling 650 watts
sensitivity 88 dB

I'm not looking to break windows or annoy anyone, I just want to feel it.

With my price range i don't expect much but I'm sure i can get BETTER than this, $300-$400 max.
Also with the way my car is i don't have any RCA hookups, I'm Spliced into my rear subwoofers and connected through the high-level input.

There are a few subs i have been checking out. Here is one for example 800W Boston Acoustics 12" G112PD GTuned Series Loaded Enclosure Any good?

What kind of woofers are they and what type of box are they in?

 

It's a sealed box with 2 10" sony Xplods Model number XS-L1000b.

Are you looking for new everything? Or just speakers and amp? Anyway, I've got a link to a good list of 10 inch subs in my signature, and some of them may work with the amp you have, but you would probably want to replace it as well.

 

New everything yes, I purchased a BA gt2125. Now just looking for a single or dual 12" with a box for $150 shipped.
