At all the pics i see there are always people pushing on the windows/hatch when someone is getting metered???
please explain what the purpose of that is
--------------------------------------------------
also,do all the competertures play that same song???
do you turn of the interiour speakers and just leave the subs to play,so you don't wreck the tweets.
I know i will come up with some more question but im entering one next week and i don't want to be the person that is lost there.

heres some tricks...rev ur car but no more than 2grand, if possible play a test known as a sweep instead of a song. Most times u only get 30seconds so try and pause/unpause the track a few times. Keep ur windows up. Fade everything to the back so u dont blow ur front speakers and if possble unplug ur back speakers. If possible position ur box so it is about 2 inches from the back of ur trunk.

You have to be careful, some cars lose SPL when doors etc. are held. If you don't know your frequency play a frequency sweep. If you can turn off your mids and highs go for it, especially if they are playing full range and don't have high pass filters on them.

try not to use any filters on your deck at all burn a cd with a specific frequency on it. Use a program like sound forge to make it, then set the gains on the amp accordingly. Last year when we measured the voltage on our preouts we found that the filter robbed mega voltage from us, nearly doubled wehn all the filters were off. IT was on a pioneer 7400 mp i believe 2 volt model.

Tip of the day - if you can, get on a mic to test, find out where your box works best, which note you need to play, and find out where to hold your car.. there are many people in the GTA which will give you mic time for a minimal fee
