I've been out of the loop when it comes to the newer Alpine decks... I have the 9811 and 9815. Has Alpine done away with the motorized swing-face mechanism?

Also x-over, TC and Bass engine pro are gone on the new decks to force you to buy a processor.... I still have a choice on what I want to use... my CDA-9835 or my CDA-7998.... Although I'd like to have bluetooth.... and yes.... as soon as that Blackbird lands in my store, I'm getting one....

Its just like the 7909...they will come out withan 10year anniv. special edition with bass engine pro....or lose all the bussiness to pioneer and kenwood!

when should a person expect these to be in stores? I'm thinkin it might be time for a new head unit, wondering if i should throw mine up for sale, but can't handle being without music.

Why would Alpine get rid of Time Correction and Bass Engine Pro? Not to mention the swing face... Doesn't the competition still have TC?

Is Alpine going down-market? I guess I'll keep my 9815!
