just wanted to know if it was a shop other than FS. FS only carries up 6001 in amps, just wanna know if there are any other shops that carry the mtx full line.

Nothing wrong with MTX. It's quality stuff. Doesn't have the snob factor of some other lines, but it's solid.

I find myself instantly more comfortable with a shop when they see that I am using decent gear, acknowledge it and they don't try to convince me I need to upgrade it with a brand that they carry.

"So whats the deal with MTX these days? I mean the place had this new sales kid that was spouting off how Alpine, PG, RF (this I can believe), and some others are not even close to the quality of the new MTX. I have nothing against MTX but I always remembered them as being sort of somewhere between Sony and Alpine in terms of overall quality."

Not sure how long you have been into car audio, but all those brands mentioned including MTX have always been and are still excellent brands. I have used everyone of them many times over the last 20 plus years and have had absolutely no problems with any of them. As for the Rockford comment; I am more impressed with my RF stuff than any other I own and would never think twice about using their gear for any install...mild to wild. There's a reason why these brands have been around as long as they have and still continue to dominate the market place...They provide high quality, state of the art technology and reliability for a reasonable price.
