This amp WILL draw more than 70 amps. The fuse included with it is rated at 150 amps.
The power/ground terminals are 1/0 gauge & the speaker terminals are 8 gauge.
This amp WILL do what it says it will!

That looks to be msrp by the Pioneer site's descriptions.

They're the new Premier amps apparently.

Steve Cook tested it at 16v and 0.5ohm and it did 3000rms.
At 0.5ohm it was 0.4dB louder than an AB200.1.

MSRP is $1000 on the website http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pn...869139,00.html
But I'm sure it can be had for less http://www.audio-warehouse.com/web/m...SPL/detail.asp

Looking at the literature Id say its a run of the mill 1.5kw amp...

If someone loaded it down and gave it 16V and it did 3kw for a burp then its obviously one mean little amp.... but Id like to know the test conditions and equipment before Id belive that....

Ive been hearing of people testing under heavy current clip while neglecting to use a true rms clamp lately...
