alarm is good, but stealth is way better...you should know the rules; no cranking close to where you're going to park, make sure all equipment is hidden, make a fake/false faceplate out of original equipment or similar, and don't brag about your gear to friends or their friends! I learned my lessons about 20 years ago now, and haven't had it happen since.

yeah mine is turned down as soon as im with in a block and a half of my apt... but nothing about it is stealth.

Veeman around here the number one stolen car is the honda civic. and they are always being stolen... like always! you should see the insurance rates on them... So either way an alarm is a good idea in these parts...

well, then the best idea is to get a different car! I mean if they're that sought after, sell or trade it...or wait for it to be stolen, then get something else that's not on the thieves' radar, and put a nice system in it. If I knew that my civic was such a target, I'd definitely not invest in a system!

ya, well i am going to be doing my alarm in the next couple weeks, and then the system. i want compustar but it think autopage is what i will do. its either going to be a twister amp and 2 focal 10's in a custom box for my car, or all kaption in a prefabbed box....the alarm IS what i am worried about at the moment. compustar has longer range and auto start for manual...autopage is cheaper....i dont know about viper? i always thought of them as a futureshop special. but i am going with 2 way pager. o and my car is usally not cranked, my brother had it when it was stolen so maybe he had it going

all done, compustar alarm wit ha custom install, luv it.....downsized to 2 10 type R's in a single square ported box, and a pdx 1.600 amp. i thought i was downsizing, but i actually upsized lol, the 10's hit harder and louder with better quality in sound. anyone have input on any of this stuff? i like it soo far and got a good deal soo i can take anyones negative comments or positive
