where would i Look for these?.....
So it seems the jbl pwoer series are only 75 watt rms vs kappa 100 watts rms..also seems like the kappas have a deeper sound
why would the jbl powers be a good choice over kappas...just seems kappas are better specced
if I ran 100 watts rms through 75 watts speakers is there not a chance they could blow?

ok sounds good ..unfotunately I wont be able to listen to the speakersunless I drive 2 hours...what would you guys say for the infinity kappas vs the jbl gtos or power series?
also..Only using bestbuy as an example..I will more than likely use ebay
it seems that ia a nice amp..but the jbl gto speakers only handle 60 watts rms each..so would I blow these speakers with this amp?
it also seems like the infinity has betetr specs....but again...anyone have experience?

If you drive to a city with BB, FS and a couple of dedicated shops you can cover a lot of brands at once......if you're going to hit Ottawa one of the board members (Shon Besharah) works at one of the FS stores and can help you out at his store.....right Shon??.....
The power ratings on these speakers is for full-range use.....Xover all of the low frequencies out of the signal and you can throw a lot more power at the speaker.
No matter how you plan on buying them it is a good idea to make sure you have Canadian warranty......it's worth the extra $$ in case you get a lemon.

alrite I think I have a local car audio shop..and I may make a special trip to ottawa ..thanks
Now another question...Im trying to figure out how I am going to wire the DVC sub
it seems I can either wire for 1 ohm or 4 ohms...be it in parrallel or series...So tehre no way to wire the sub at 2 ohms?..as it seems I cant find any amps that are "1 ohm stable"
Im still alos trying to figure out an amp for the speakers/ sub..I like the JBL amp..but it seems its just outta my price range...unless I buy it on ebay....but im not sure if id get a warranty:
http://cgi.ebay.ca/JBL-GTO1004-600-Watt-A-B-Class-4-Channel-Car-Amplifier-/320603248068?pt=Car_Amplifiers&hash=item4aa57155c4
any more help would be greatly appreciated..can't wait to get this setup
EDIT:
ok it seems my steal of a deal subwoofer order didnt go through because of my credit card...
although its a good deal, it's a 2+2 ohm dvc sub should I scratch that and go for a 4+4 ohm?

Like I said in a previous post try and find something comparable to the JBL if it's too much $$.....if you find an amp that sounds like a really great deal throw the brand and model # up here and we can tell you if it's worth it or not......

thanks to everyone...sorry if I have been a hassle ....SO no go on the individual channels
My LAST question ...Until something else comes up
If I get an amp that will only run the sub at say 150-200 watts RMS...WIll this suffice for the type s sub...which has an rms rating of 50-300 watts RMS
Will it have enough power to give the "oomph" to the system...thanks again!!!!

It will make noise....if you try and get too much out of it via the gain **** you may push enough distortion thru it to cook the sub.....so be careful.....
Personally I would save the coin up for the better amp.....I've never heard anyone regret buying quality gear.....
