newb install help
I am wondering what would be the best way to hook up a pair of type-r components to a MRV-435 amp. amp specs:
RMS Power (at 12V,20Hz-200Hz) Bridged 4 ohms : 200W x 1 (Ch-3/4) Per channel into 2 ohms : 100W x 2 (Ch-3/4) Per channel into 4 ohms : 50W x 4
RMS Power (at 14.4V,20Hz-200Hz) Bridged 4 ohms : 75W x 1 (Ch-3/4), 300W x 1 (Ch-3/4) Per channel into 2 ohms : 150W x 2 (Ch-3/4)
I have a pair of 6x9s for fill and was thinking I would run them off the HU and power the components with the amp for more wattage.
kinda new to the car audio scene...last time I installed a car audio system pioneer 6907s were top dog.

im not sure if those comps can do bi-amping, where the woofer and tweeter both have their own input.
if they can, that is one option.
personally though, i prefer to have all the speakers amped, or none, so if you are going to run your components off the amp, i would suggest you run the 6x9s as well.
try them that way, one channel per speaker and see how it sounds, you may want to turn down the gains on the 6x9s so they dont draw your soundstage too far back.

Thanks, I will try that.
While on the topic of comps, has anyone built Kick Panel Enclosure for a 05 Grand Prix?
There is not alot of room on the drivers side and would like to hear if anyone has done this.
Thanks.

If you want sound quality, I would definitely run the deck to the rear fill, or no rear fill at all. and I would run your front stage active, any component set can be run active, as long as the woofers and tweeters are seperate. you just need a good active crossover so that you can adjust the crossover frequency to your liking.
