NEWBIE moderate plan

Here's what I got and what I'm looking for:

I have a three year old Sony CDX-MP40, XM ready head unit. I looked at the unit, and all "XM ready" seems to mean is that you can plug in an XM receiver add-on. How does that work? Will Sirius work?

In a sealed box, I have two Cerwin Vega s-10.4 10" subs, each rated 200W RMS, 400W peak power. I'm looking for a decent/good name brand two channel amp to power these babies, say 225W-300W RMS per channel.

I have a pair of (weak link) Sony X-plod XS-W6921 6x9's, 50W RMS 220W peak power. These will be the back speakers

I want a good name pair of 6.5" or 6.75" component speakers for the front, which will be in the range of 90W-100W RMS. The speakers I've been looking at are in the $300 range here in Canada. I'm inclined to pay the authorized $$ rather than ebay it, but would welcome reasons not to. Names like Polk, Boston Accoustics, JBL, Infinity, Cerwin Vega catch my eye. Demo'ed the Infinity's and, as some have said, they're bright, but I still liked 'em.

I want an amp to power the front and back speakers. I figure this amp will have to be 100W RMS mininum on each of four channels. (Bye bye 6x9 Sony's inevitable?)

To summarize, I'm looking for two amps and one set of component speakers. I'll be way more picky on the speakers than the amps.

Can y'all comment on my plan?

BTW, I've been very happily listening to Vega 25 for years, hence the predisposition. As is wisely said everywhere on this forum, it's what sounds good to you, n'est ce pas?

Thanks very much.
