Measurements weren't wrong. That is the biggest box you can slide into the trunk.
And Dave said "Alright all you late model Cavy and Sunfire owners..." so I answered after walking out to my car with a tape measure.
You can indeed add a couple inches to the width but you can't go nearly as high then because of the springs as well as the task of getting it in there with the half blocked openway.

Anyways, I'm bored of this...............

It was a Air saw combination 10lb sledge.. im never putting that big of a box in again... its so nice having a removable sub box now

I'm not exactly sure on how close the trunks are between the 2nd gen and 3rd gen Cavies are but it's been confirmed recently by a trust worthy source that the 2nd gen will hold a box 36"wX13"hX32"L..

Might be worth measuring and seeing....
