Was the amp new or refurbished "new"?

Yes and just touch the battery to the leads, do not hold it on them. Better yet is to unhook the speaker wire from the amp and test from there.

To me it looks like your LP is set at 35hz? If it is turned right down you need to turn it 1/3 of the way up. So it points at the W in low. What kind of box this is in will determine where the subsonic gets set. 25hz for sealed and ported is at the tuning of the box.

haha i havent the slightest clue what is set at with that amp without getting a screwdriver and moving it first, its a X shape slot and both sides are the same width so you dont know where its at POS. but everything was at minimal but im not worried about that i need to set my gain first but i cant as im getin 0 volt read out.

uhm the settings are all at minimum, like i said when i was fooling around with it my sub barely moved with full gain and 3/4 volume, and even with full gain i get a 0 volt read out i dont get that.
Turn the subsonic fully counter-clockwise and the lowpass fully clockwise. Check your fader settings to make sure it's equal F/R. Let us know what happens.
