Looked up the manual here for your amp and looking at the control end you should be starting with the dials set (from left to right) at 11 o'clock, 8 o'clock, 8 o'clock, 8 o'clock.
If you get anything out of the speaker at that point....that's good.....
You will need to adjust them to get the most you can out of the amp, if you can't get a substantial output after trying that, it's time to pull the amp out of there and get it somewhere they can do some bench testing on it.....

Edit: Make sure to turn the gain full counter-clockwise before starting. You can turn it up later if the output is too low.

Could use your head unit but that would not eliminate it and the existing RCAs from the test. There is a slim chance one of them is the problem. Do ipods not come with these cables?

thanks guys for the help i jjust was out playing around with the settings on my amp listening to a normal track and got voltage up to about mid 30's so i just left if and im getting lotsa output from the sub. sounds wayyy louder then my last amp too but i still wanna know how not setting the lpf and the ssf wont allow a voltage readout on the speaker terminals
