noob here and could use some help wi jl xd600/1 amp

hello everyone, i have rescently bought a buddys 2 phoenix gold octane r 12inch subs with the box for 60 bucks, they are 4 ohms and 250 rms a piece. so i bought this jl xd600/1 monoblock amp got a good deal on it for 300 bucks. so here is the thing, there are 2 positive right beside each other and 2 negitive right beside each other, and i have one sub plugged into one set of pos. and neg. and the other sub plugged into the other set. so what kind of watts am i puttin into the subs wired like that? in the manual and on the box it says its 600w@2ohms, 500w@3ohms, and 400w@4ohms so how do i wire it to get these 3 options? any help would be greatly apreciated.

If the woofers are 4ohm single voice coil speakers your two wiring choices are 2ohms (parallel) or 8ohms (series) The way you have it wired it would be 2ohms, maximizing that amp.

Absolutely.
