In all honesty, I don't think you could find a better woofer than these at this price.

Happy shopping!
I think the pioneer would be a good choice. Take a look in the western canada section under "Calgary Test And Tune". See those pioneers they have held up very nicely for Father Aaron. They owe him nothing and I mean nothing. Also they can reach some good numbers (2-10s), in a trunked car Aaron has been over 140 feeding them about 800 watts. Yes they are blown now but take a look at the new amp, that is what it was designed to do, KILL SUBS. That would be my pick on a budget. (Budget what does that mean?)LOL

The subs you listed are all good. So you won't go wrong with any of the choices. But you need to rember that you will be using Deck power for you front end. By the way you described you sound tastes I would suggest one sub only. A single 10" in a ported cabinet will probably be just perfect for your situation.

IMO deck power is enough to keep up with 2 12 and 300wrms... although amping some components couldnt hurt....

Id go to XS cargo with $250 and buy 2 12s a larger amp and some coaxes your current amp can run....

add another $25 or something and you can get a 'bulldog' alarm (that might not even be that bad with a good install!)

alright so i checked xs cargo again.

somebody explain to me the difference with say the:
MTX MZS1204 12 $200
and
a visiontek or ma sub which is $30.

is it just the obvious that is quality. or am i missing something. i would like to get the best sound quality with my $200. not the loudest.

thanks

Personally King I'd go with a pair of 10's 300watt max a piece, might need to upgrade on the amp depending... But if your afraid of theft do you already have an alarm? And your system is more at risk when being displayed to others whats in the trunk or whats possibly in the trunk.

If possible it would be cool to stick a sub under your seat and then you would definately feel it lol

just my 2 cents, sorry if its not to much help.

i hate to drag this on guys so thanks for sticking with me. one thing i hate is buyers remorse. now with the internet and so much info and knowledgable people around i would hate to have buyers remorse.

so if my amp is rated for 300 watts what is the proper wattage of sub to buy. my guess is something in between 200-400rms. is this correct.
