Noob Question...I think...

Hah, I have quite a bit or Eminem and some DnB and stuff like that...so midbass would be nice.
So what's the main difference between a sub and mids then? :S
The speakers I'm looking at range from like 35-68 as the low point

I'm not totally sure on the tweeter & speaker ranges but wikipedia says "tweeter is a loudspeaker designed to produce high frequencies, typically from around 2,000 Hz to 20,000 Hz".
I'd cross them at (if they could, and I'm not really sure):
sub 0-100hz
mid 100-1000hz
speaker 1000-10000
tweeter 10000-20000
Decide the speaker/tweeter after the sub because you won't know where you'll be crossing the sub at, say it rolls off hard after 60Hz than you'll want speakers to be able to touch 60Hz.
Flat from 20-100Hz is really hard to achieve, especially because of in-car gain. You can have really good 20-60 Hz with the right sealed sub. It should look like QTC .5-.6 & FC (roll off) @ 30 Hz. TC sounds is great for sealed subs, and they're cheap.

Hmm, I've found a few subs that go up to 500 and a couple up to 1000.
I use Sonicelectronix.com as a base for figuring out what I want but they have no "mids" category.
I have a kickass bandpass box with the sub it came with, but I want to ditch the sub and get a good one in that box when I get a new(well, new to me) car

The only thing you'll really need two of is speakers but it's kind of hard to mount a midbass between seats so it's easier to get two and the speakers might drown one out anyways.
Wiring depends on the coils but its the same as the speakers/subs.

Wattage does not always equal loudness or sound quality. There are many different types of speakers for many different applications. Simplified, like Lord Huffington said, subwoofers are designed to create loud low bass (as discussed 20-100hz), woofers are designed for mid-bass, speakers designed for mains and tweeters for highs.
Basically higher frequencies are easier to produce loudly and that is why mids and highs can take a smaller amount of power to produce music than subwoofers. Also subwoofers may be rated up to 1000hz, but their sound quality compared to a proper mid bass woofer is really low. This is just my understanding of it, I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm completely off-base.
If I wanted to run a 4-way system, I would use a 5-channel amp, and a monoblock. 4 channel to run speakers and tweets with inline passive crossovers, 5th channel to run midbass woofers, and monoblock to run the subwoofer. Personally, I wouldn't bother though. Just a 4 channel with a decent set of components or even 2 way speakers, with a sub in a proper box.
