I'm pretty new to car audio, and i'm looking into getting a sub into a toyota camry 2007 which i'll soon be purchasing.
1) i wanted to get this subwoofer Kicker 06S15L7-4 Subwoofers

but the problem is that I dont' fully understand what to look for in an amp especially dealing with ohms and rms.

Also what accessories would i need for installation. Or if anyone knows a good car audio installation centre in mississauga or the gta.

I would appreciate any recommendations for a good setup without spending too much money. Thanks

 

Why such a large sub? It is going to need a good size box to make it perform to it's abilities. That equates to one heck up alot of weight in the back end of that little car. It is also going to require a good size amp to power it to it's potential, then good size wiring to power the amp. Next up, your tiny little alternator might not be able to keep up to the demand of what that amp is looking for.

My suggestion is to set the sights a little lower. Do you have a budget for the sub system? What else will be going into the vehicle. Are you just trying to get loud or are you after respectable sound quality?

i don't wanna buy a new alternator or anything like that, i would appreciate any suggestions for a good sub prob 12" and an amp for that price range and car, i'm more into the shake the crap out of the neighbourhood bass if your wondering
