Question

Is it normal for the tinsel lead on one of my vc's on both of my jl 10" w3-d4 to just break off.?? Or wut would cause this to happen...

Is the box sealed or ported? If ported do you have a subsonic filter? If sealed what kind of power are you giving them?

Most likely it may be because your playing under tuning frequency or overdrving the subs so they unload, causing the ripped tinsel leads.

Or it can be defective subs, did you purchase them at the same time?

Definitly not normal for a sub to break. Unless it is defective, you are overpowering them, or you did something else wrong!

I ran 3 JL w0's for a while giving them double the rms power and had no problems at all.. [img]graemlins/dunno.gif[/img]
