odd question.. hi-gloss paint vs glassing...

I plan on putting both hi-gloss paint and a layer or two of resin.
The idea is to get it as smooth as possible.
Which one do you suggest I put on last/as the top layer?
Is either of them really going to be any different.
btw.. please keep in mind I'm an SPL competitor. Every tenth of a db is important. So looks don't mean a thing, functionality counts!!

Do not clear it if you use a brush to apply the paint. Only if you spray the high gloss on; you can clear it no problem. If not, the clear will pull the paint below it while drying, and you will end up with a very rough surface!!

Checkw ith a local body shop, Maaco is a good bet and they will shoot a nice coat of clear in your box for like $50-$100. We did it for some places when I worked there.
