Cool OEM Stereo Replacement. Need Help =)

Hello,

I just recently purchased two 12" Type R Alpines and a PDX1.1000 Amplifer from Alpine.
I am wanting to keep the headunit in my RX8 because I like the style and look of it. (Plus its a 6disc MP3 with Bluetooth) :-D

With AudioControl product would I require for this setup? I will be upgrading all my speakers in the car to Aftermarket with another Alpine amp. So somethign that could do the full job would be awesome..

Any ideas? I'm willing to spend enough as I am a quality freak.. Wanting/Hoping there will be no whining in the speakers....

2009 RX8 R3
Factory System Bose Headunit, Bose Amplified...
Thanks a lot..

P.S. If theres something better then AudioControl please do letme know.. :-D

MTX Re-Q is the cheapest option, Audison BitOne best but most expensive... Audiocontrol would be a DQL8

Being one of the first people in Canada to attack this vehicle when it came out, it was a PITA at the time. Now it is fairly straight forward. Do you need equilization of just a good interface? If it just a good interface that you need, use the Audio Control 6XS (yes I know it is a crossover) and wire it in before the Bose amp in the rear deck of the vehicle.

SLA's, also the 6XS has input and output level controls so wiring the speaker level outs to RCA jcks won't overdrive it.

Yup, the 6XS is the ideal choice here. Find the factory preamp lines (usually in grey sheaths), cut them off the molex in the back about 3" away from it, solder on a rca end, plug it in and you are done. The 6XS then acts as a advanced LOC, crossover, sub level controller, line driver and master level conroller.
