Great amps but it will kill it much faster.
Sell it and buy an amp designed to do 2ohm mono.

Used to be a name for it..."Fryin' Orion".... Saw a few smoked ones at the warranty depot in Mississauga many years ago...nasty stuff, but people kept doing it...

The HCCA series was produced for those situations....worked very well, but sucked current from your battery like....ummm....use your imagination....

Oh yeah that amp will do 2 ohm mono, now like BigRedGuy said about the "fryin' Orion" is very much true. Not that they will smoke easier but that pre DEI Orion amps got pissin hot on the outside which meant that they were cool on the inside. The heat sink that the SX amps have, in my opinion was the best one Orion ever had. My old XTR 250's ran two ohm all day long, got so ridiculously hot it was insane, but never once went into protect or even blew a fuse for that matter. Oh yeah and I did that to those amps for over 4 years straight. Old school Orion is rock solid equipment.
