old school RF?
anyone know much about these amps?
Rockford Fosgate 100DSM
Output Power at 11.6V (20Hz ∼ 20kHz):
2 x 50W @ 4 ohms (<0.05% THD)
2 x 100W @ 2 ohms (<0.1% THD)
1 x 200W @ 4 ohms bridged (<0.1% THD)
S/N Ratio: >110dBA
Bandwidth: 15Hz ∼ 100kHz (±3dB)
Freq. Response: 20Hz ∼ 20kHz (±1dB)
Fuse: External 40A
Dimensions: 11.6" x 9.6" x 2.6" (29.5cm x 24.4cm x 6.6cm)
Manufactured in 1993
stable below 4ohms? i hear the 60ix,100ix etc are considered cheater amps? same for the 100DSM? i can grab 1 for $50 but im not sure if i will be able to use it unless its 2 or 1 ohm stable

Yes you will find it underrated. Not a huge cheater amp designed to be loaded down like a 225HCCA from the same era but it is underrated power wise.
It is rated to a lowest of 2ohm stereo.
It will do 2ohm mono but will get warm and it will shorten the lifespan of the amp.
I don't recommend 1ohm mono.

was that jsut for comps or did u run that low daily? if i ran it at 1 ohm it be in my daily driver powering 2 10" kaption SPLs(4ohm DVC)
but for now it would be running 2 10" JLW0s at 2ohms until i sell them

1ohm is a dumb idea.
The 100DSM or ix was optomized for 4ohm mono. Yes it will operate at 2ohm mono but it doesn't make any more power. According to the Power Cube, it actually made less.
It's a steal for $50. Run it 2ohm stereo for ~160-180watts per channel.
The Power amps were the low impedance amps back then: Power 50m, Power 500m, Power 50x2, Power 250x2.

picked it up, nice little amp i brought it inside to take a look at the internals and i cant get 1 allen key screw out, not sure what to do as i tried a pair of vice grips on it aswell....might have to grind it off lol

Cut a slit in it with your dremel and then try a standard screw driver. Or drill it out partially and use one of those easy-out deals for removing stripped screws etc.
