Generally you want the input of something (processor or amp) as high as possible and the output of something (deck or processor) as low as possible to minimize the chances of noise.
High output impedance decks with low input impedance amps very often make for a noisy system.

Found it lovslly here in Toronto for $60.00 (a steal)

My 1990 Alpine 7288 cassette deck arrived today.
Im very pleased with it considering I got it in Canada at a reasonable price ($60.00)
Works flawlessly.
Only issue is the dirt stain inside the lens. I'll open it up and wipe it off.
Cosmetically, id give it an 8.5/10.
I have the Alpine 4100 install kit for it.
