OMG I hate installing starters

Yeah that's how the dealerships want it, they make a new key and I use it with a 556u. We mostly use vehicle specific by-passes. I've just started using Fortan ones, they work quite well. I also like by-pass kits, modules aswell. DEI makes good ones as well but they are expensive compared to others. Has anyone tried these web link ones? if so what do you think of them?

Future shop just got the I-data link kits. they work great and they work shitty. I did a 03 denalli the other day and the kit program didnt work. I programed it for a different car and it worked.. i think there still working the bugs out of some stuff.
and.... YIPPY! I've heard cobalts were a nitemare to do. i BANGED a starter off in 2 hours the other day without any problems. I used a I-data link kit.
I had problems today on a 06 camry. an xk-05 wouldnt program. One of the guys here says it's common for toyotas to not work. I used a I-data bypass and it woked awsome.

They never program for me the way the instructions say, but always work 100% of the time.
Oh and cobalts are one of the easiest these days. You can start them with the bypass module.

What do you guys charge to do VW's?....I always tell 'em it'd be better to pay the kid down the street to come start the car, and he can scrape the windows too!.

I just tried a an Idatalink multi series module yesterday and they work really good alot of features as well. I will use them, for that one car that you just don't have the module in stock for. Otherwise I will stick to what I am comfortable using as well.
