Actually Clarion is not a Canadian company even though they have a Canadian office. And your warranty is no good in Canada. You have to send it back to the US. US retailers will also make you pay shipping both ways. I am a Clarion retailer and know this infformation for a fact. Good luck.

I've bought from Onlinecarstereo.com twice and both times i got good service. They called to say the MA Audio speakers i ordered weren't in stock, they were having problems getting them from the factory. I looked up an alternative and ordered MB Quart. The ultimate was less than half price from bestbuy.
The customs and tax was a little more than local tax, but prices were much better.
I have also shopped local, from speciallty audio shops, and there is something to be said for look, feel, hear before you buy.
I'm not a big fan of big box stores.

I've never had to return anything i bought online.
I have had warranty problems with stuff bought local, first they wanted to charge me re & re, then because the store had to ship to US to get them replaced. 4 weeks to replace a set of mid-bass?

Duty isn't just like taxes. You have to pay taxes...... AND duty. So duty is above and beyond the taxes. And if it wasn't made in North America, say hello to another 6.5% if they catch you.. HELLO nice fat bill ontop of that great deal. This has been talked about a zillion times.

If you buy anything online, buy it thinking that once it arrives, that's the end of the line. There is no re-course. If it's junk or becomes junk, you are on your own and you may as well have rolled up your green-backs and smoked them like a big giant bong.
