Hi guys,

I am curious if some of you had the chance to experiment eD subs (especially the 13Ov2)?

How well they compare again JLW7 and JLW6v2?

If I buy one, I will run the sub with a JL 500/1 in a 1 cubic foot sealed box. What kind of performance/bass should I expect.

Thanks

The Ov2 is an awesome sub, especially for the price. W7 can take more power but it also costs three times as much, so it's not really a fair comparison. It might be a good match against the W6. Haven't heard a W6 so I can't really say.

I have a 16Ov2 in a 2.2 cuft ported box tuned to 30Hz. It is absolutely amazing. It gets loud enough to cause serious ear discomfort on certain songs, yet it is so smooth and precise. It sounds even better than my old 15A did, and a hell of a lot better than everything else I've used.

I wouldn't expect crazy bass from a single 12 in a sealed box, yet it will probably be louder than most people would think. 500 watts should be perfect for that sub.

Here are some pics of my sub, in case you want to see them.
