George would like to point out to Tinted that those MTX crossovers do not have subsonic filters in them
George thinks that once again people have proven to Tinted that SPL people do use processors in their systems and he still chooses to argue.
George shakes his head.

crossover is not same thing as subsonic filter???? ok u are matching apples to bannas here my friend. subsonic filtering is/can be one of a crossover functions....crossovers can perform subsonic filtering. subsonic filter is just like the high pass filter but for the subs.
once again: crossover is a device whereas subsonic filtering is a function.

George is saying that the MTX crossover does not have a subsonic filter in it. George would also like to point out that he does not know of one company out there who makes a subsonic filter that goes past a max of 30 hz. George thinks that if you want to play 72hz and only 72hz then a band pass crossover will work better set at 60-75 hz or even finer crossover points.

u probably right about the subsonic filter and 30hz. i never gave much thought to that detail. yah u would use crossover points to limit yourself to a particualr hz range. cutting off anything from your lower point down would essentially be the same idea as a subsonic filter. but yah u right on this one.

Tinted I was basically saying they were basic crossovers and they did not have subsonic built in. I guess I should say things step by step, but those x-overs are doing differant funtions than a subsonic filter.
Yes of course a sub sonic is a x-over, but in spl they are not needed.
