If you have 2 dual 4 ohm subs they can be wired to 1 ohm or 4 ohm... buy a DMM and measure the resistance of the final load

^^^ He has one amp per sub... or at least thats what I got... As Wasted said, gains not set properly could be the issue also.

His first post looks like it says one amp and two subs.... type x's come in dual 4's, the amp puts out 1000RMS at 2-4 ohms... (regulated) if his 2 subs are wired to a final load of 4 ohms then for all basic logic, he should be fine (though underpowering those subs), however if his subs are wired to 1 ohm then yes that presents a problem, so back to the answer, unplug wires from amp, set DMM to ohms and test for final load

The issue is that the 1st gen PDX's werent really 2 ohm stable. They say that they are, but they arnt. The only way to fix this is by truning back the gains slightly.
