i just want to take this time to tell you that your magazine has gone to totall crap in the last 3 to 4 years. it went from something that was a half decent read to a book full of rice and ads. and most of the time the rice and the ad for that rice are right beside each other.
there is really not much 'sound' about the PAS mag anymore. just some riced 'performace'.

My name is Frank Spezzano, I am Editor-In-Chief of Performance Auto & Sound Magazine.
I wanted to set the record straight on a posting that was made on this forum board last week.
One of my online moderators placed a posting regarding a Technical Editor job position, as we are currently looking to strengthen our Editorial Team and are seeking someone who would be able to assist our current Tech Editor Dave MacKinnon.
The result of this posting unfortunately lead to certain members of this forum voicing their criticism about the magazine, and this individual staff member took it upon himself to defend PAS.
While his comments were not damaging, they in no way represented the feelings of our company or management as a whole. PAS in no way supports his comments or endorses any of his statements.
I want to say that everyone is entitled to have an opinion and I want to apologize if this posting offended anyone. I have asked for this posting to be reopened and I want to set the record straght. I personally have the utmost respect for www.canadiancaraudio.com and we are proud to be a Canadian publication.
Performance Auto & Sound attends and covers virtually every show that happens across Canada and I think we have done a respectable job representing Canada within the North American enthusiast scene.
I tend to agree with some of the criticisms about the magazine not having enough car audio, which is why I’m looking for an additional Tech Editor so that I can begin to strengthen that area and have a strong start for 2006. So this posting is an integral part in my efforts to improve the magazine.
If you are interested in joining our staff please feel free to apply.
PAS is the strongest supporter of the Canadian scene, as displayed every year as we lead the Canadian NOPI Tour www.nopitour.ca. PAS owes its continued success to our Canadian advertisers and readership, which is why I am always looking for ways to further improve our product.
I want to make a special offer to all the members of www.canadiancaraudio.com.
I have set up a separate email address, canadiancaraudio@pasmag.com to offer all the members of this forum board a
1-year subscription(incl. 8 Regular Issues) plus our Annual Car Audio Directory issue for just $5.00.
For anyone who is interested, simply email your request to canadiancaraudio@pasmag.com and payment can be made by credit card or an invoice can be sent to you. Please inlcude all your contact info and mailing address.
Otherwise I would once again like to state that the previous post was not meant to be negative and I’d like to thank many of you who continue to read and enjoy Performance Auto & Sound.
