PG 3 way comp
OK so obviously I am going to have to give up trunck room.
My new thought is to build a flase floor in the trunck but I know from experience that unless I use massive venting the ti amps are out.
Can ne one name some amps that will do 200-400Wrms by two. I am looking for high end.
Apparently if the comp set alone does not get 200Wrms it realy does not come alive.
I am ot realy knowledgable about zapco but I have heard great things, NE one know?

I am not sre about pricing but I was looking at the zapco C2k 9.0dx it looks perfect if it is not crazy high priced.
I think I pair of those would drive that 3 way set crazy.
Or possibly a pair of the 4.0x if it is cheaper I could bridge them and get 40W more perside
As ne one used these amps?
What can you tell me about them?

Talk to Kriston about the Zapcos, but they are really pricey. He posted pics of his setup in another thread.
I would suggest an Arc XXK 4150. When bridged it will do 330Wx2 RMS@4 ohm, but is actually around 400x2 RMS. Plus Arc is much cheaper than Zapco.
Talk to Mark Bruno or Tom Kliem about the Arcs. Kankar is a great company to deal with. Mark provided exceptional customer service.

zapco is out
wow $2g's US was the cheapest I could find the 9.0 and I would need a pair.
I will look at the arcs NE other suggestions?
Kool
I saw that install it was mint. But damn where does the money come for the amps

I could make a killer system with the arc's
a pair of the xxk 4150 running the
pg comp set
then the
xxk 1500d running a good sub
I will have to do more research on arc
Hey look I am right back where I started no trunk room and enough power to run a small city. And to think I thought I was going to get away with a deck the PG comp set and a pg 600.2ti (that is when I thought the comp set only need 300W total like the web page seems to state)

Pick any decent 75-100x4 amp on the market and bridge it to 2channels and you have 300-400rms per side.
For my money and for the footprint I would look at old RF BBQ 4080s and 400x4s They're tiny and they slammo.

Gmac i dont understand what happened to the original plan?
The Ti elite comps dont NEED 300w's.. The RMS rating is only a measurement of thermal handling, not what they REQUIRE. Download the manual form PG's website.. They state that minimum power is 75w's per side. There recommended system in the manual is a Ti600.2 (150x2) to power the comp set. I have seen many systems using either a ti400 or ti600.. It works fine. Actually the Ti600.2 has been tested by mag's to produce 200x2@ 4ohms.. Which is only 50w's from the RMS of the 5" set (That being 250rms).
Why do you feel the Ti amps dont work with a false floor? I built a false floor in my car using 2: ti400's and a ZPA .5.. I used 3 fans that totaled ~90cfm. place them on one side, with a opening on the other. Do you think going to arc, or zapco will some how eliminate the need for fans in a false floor install?
If you want a simple install that doesnt take up trunk space.. Put a 12" sub in the spare tire well, and mount the 2: Ti600.2's on the back of the rear seat. No trunk spaced lost (Other then the spare tire area). then place the 5" set in the kicks, or the 6's in the doors.

KillerGrand
that was tohe original idea at the top of the thread butI do not want to run them because of the heat they generate.
Duke
those were great amps I had one of the 400x4's sold it to a friend befor I ever installed it man was I kicking myself.
Manic
the ag 200's as far as I know only do 100Wrms x 2.
As for now I did some more research and as llong as arc audio amps run fairly cool I think I am going to run 3 xxk 2500's. 2 on the comp set and one on the sub.
Duke
can you even find the old rf amps new ne more?
