ehh I wasn't too sold on the Tantrum X subs. I had always liked the amps... the only reason I didn't get one is because they didn't make one that could drive two Titanium 12Ds to their fullest potential. The car with the twelve amps and four subs was using Titanium Elites and Tantrum 1200.1s, right? I've seen it before and I love the subs - and the car.

The new Xenon subs look to be a pretty minor step up from the Titaniums. 20mm excursion one-way which is very decent (better then anything Fosgate offers) and 500w rms/900w peak on the 12 inch. Not big enough of a step up for me to trade in my Titaniums though.

...and it also looks like they have upgraded the Octane R woofers to ZRs. I haven't heard anything about them but they have 16mm excursion one way and 350w RMS power handling. Now that is an entry-level woofer. I wish they were around when I got my first system. The manuals and specs for all the new stuff is posted up on PG's owner manual download section.

The car moe is refering to is his, and I believe you are correct about the subs and I know you are correct about the amps.

Moe you retired the car right? if so does that mean you have a new beast this year?

You're both right, I have retired the Civic. I actually have an interested party to buy the Civic, we're just hammering out the details (price ) right now.

Am I building another beast ? Well, yes and no... I have another project but surprisingly it won't be an SPL car ! I had plans to start working on it this winter, but unfortunately it'll have to wait, too many other priorities at this time.

As DWVW was saying, my plans are to assist in IASCA's growth in Canada for 2004. My commitment to IASCA and IASCA's commitment to me has grown leaps and bounds since the Finals; guys, I've judged for IASCA at the IASCA Colombia Finals in Bogota (yes, South America ! It was AMAZING !!!), worked for IASCA at the CES show in Las Vegas and I've been appointed head judge for IdBL at SBN. Plus, more to come !!

So, between working for IASCA, running my shop, hosting and coordinating IASCA events and writing for Sport Compact National magazine, my plate's pretty full. My project may have to wait until next winter, but it's worth it.

I have a couple of things on the go right now and once I have them finalized I will be contacting Westec on his thoughts. He takes care of Western Canada for IASCA and if he invites me I'll be there with bells on !

Once I have all my "ducks in a row", I'll be posting info on this forum so everyone is aware.

Thanks for the support guys, it means a lot !
