I have a guy, who is trying to tell me rockford is way better than phoenix gold. Overall which brand of amps/subs/wiring do you think is the best? PG or RF?

He also said that his 2 12" rockford subs (500 rms each) would pound more with greater sound quality than my pg titanium 15" subs (650 rms each). Mine is in a custom sealed enclosure, his is in a ported enclosure.

He also told me PG sucks ass, cuz "his buddy" was trying to run 8 PG 15" subs and the amps coudldn't take it, and shorted out all the subs.

Now i stand behind my equipment, but is his head full of that much ****? or have i wasted my money with PG?

THANKS!

I'm no expert, but I'd pick PG over RF.... just my opinion.

There is no way to compare them, they both work well "over all".

And I bet his Dad his bigger than your Dad...both are good brands...both will work well...install will be the difference...

Aesthetic-wise it would be hard to compare the two with their latest upbringing product.

Both have excelling reliability, but I tend to favour PG for some,...odd....reason...

yes yes... watever, i want to know if I put it head to head, amp to amp, sub to sub, which one would be better for spl and sq?

I can say that a buddy of mine has a RF Power 800a4 and its clear as a bell going to a pair of Canton Pullman 6.5"s. PG I havent used since the M and MS series back in the 90s but top notch back then so I cant really see them going that far downhill since. If you want my opinion PG for amps, RF for subs as the last I can remember about PG subs was their Sapphire series like 8 or 9 years ago and I havent heard them lately.

both are excelent products that do their job very well ...........

as for the head to head competion I think who wins would all come down to install quality and equiptment application

You don't even give us the models to compare and you want a definitive answer? The answer is there is no best.
