They are all over ebay, etc.

I am a HUGE fan of local purchasing, but I also absolutely LOVE the look of the Pg Ti series amps.


Are they, quality-wise, as good as they used to be?

how 'good' are their Qx series? Octane/Xenon/etc series?

Any info is much appreciated.

The ti series are great, there is a hand full of refurbs out there you need to watch for, other then they needs lots of ventalation they are a great amp.

The reason they are so cheap right now on ebay is that the TI amps were replaced with the xenon amps.

The Xenon amps are suppose to be better then the TI's and cheaper localy

 

I miss the days of the original ZX's and ZPA's.

My first real car audio amp was a ZX450.

Even there XS's put out some decent power. Heven't used em since though.

I would avoid the QX series though. They are the entry level series.

Only thing I didn't like about the ZX (other than the looks) was the plastic windows. More than one customer came back with the window detached from the casing with only rough roads to blame.

 

my QX 4 channel has been through hell and back and still works great. it runs my fronts and sub, i know its not an awsome amp but its been great for an entry level.

 

I have seen both the QX and XS series amps that have been beaten on and seriously abused that still worked they are great quality for the entry level dollar

 

I'm running an octane 8.0:4 and it's been nothing but fabulous to me. Clean, crisp and runs cool. I bought it off Indo Audio on ebay and it took them 2 months to ship it, but aside from that, the amp is fantastic.
