WCC just moved into a new HUGE shop with a certain area set aside just for filming the show. The guys that you see on the show, that is pretty much their job now....................

As for day to day "Star" customers, they don't get much better, a buddy of mine in Atlanta does the repair work for WCC's east coast customers and he has sent me pictures that would make you puke of the behind the scenes in some of those cars........................he fixes them and sends the bill to WCC, they have no problem paying....................in alot of cases they show the customer their work and they just redo the car.......................

They will charge $50,000 with gear US for a job that I wouldn't charge more then $20k CDN..................it's all big boxes with plexi and trim panels to the sides...............

Check out the edges and fit and finish on this prototype they built for GM !

Nasty stuff !
Wow... that's brutal.

Tim.. I think it's time you moved down to Cali and start becoming THE "Installer to the Stars!"

That show is horrible, all of the cars that have come out of there look like garbage.

Thumbs down

I just laugh at the crap they do, I'd rather drive a rusted out corolla then a "pimped" out car by those idiots. When you comare the work the crew on overhaulin does, you just see the crap and stupid ideas WCC does. Its amazing how you never see the engines. I'd be proud to drive every car the overhaulin crew has done, but wouldn't drive a "pimped" car if you paid me.

I dont know...yeah some of the crap they do is that...CRAP!!Like the idea of putting a fish tank in between 2 subs and have them fire at the tank...BYE BYE FISHY!!

But some of the stuff is kind neat..Like the 8track recorder in the dash...And no not because of my little past...I truly think that was a neat idea...a little different...

No way by far I found the worst thing to be the shoe rack in the trunk! Sorry even as a woman I admit cars are MASCULINE! You don't put a shoe rack in a trunk and a frickin chandalier in the middle of the T Bars in a trans am! Waterfalls in a 78 Caddy!? Kareoke Machine in a cutlass...??? I liked the paint job for that episode that was it... Massage chair in a civic... fun cool to have but come on now this is a motor vehicle not a spa...

Personally I think all they do is set these people up to have their gear stolen. They throw anything in there with people who don't even know what it is half the time, so let the abusing of gear begin! And how is that car going to look after it goes through the mud or what not, not so pretty anymore now is it??

It's a fun show to watch but half the time what they do to these vehicles just makes you wanna

Haven't seen this episode yet but from the pictures on their web site it seems a bit interesting...

Some of their work isn't to bad I give them credit to have the know how and such, but in the end what does all that fancy stuff do for a person, especially if they know nothing about it? If I had my car on that show I'd either want a new car or the simplest things done to it, car audio gear (no dvd/tv screens) body work and rims that actually look nice and fit the style of the car. as well as a new paint job and possibly a nice new interior. None of this ugly rims that dont fit the style of the car, ugly paint jobs, unneccessary spoilers, or extras in the car that will get used maybe all of 4 times a year perhaps and will drain the battery unless you burn the gas with the car on and suck in the fumes if your at the back playing the games.

Come on now it's spending money on useless crap thank god its not coming out of our tax dollars or what not.

Interesting show to watch simply to see how ugly they make a car look and how much money they can waste in the process... I just see it as something else for theives to work on once you've had your ride 'pimped'.

^ Just for you Aaron

Mustang disappointed me Paint Job was nice...(The blue one not the red one with the gold roof) Tim you had to of loved the bubbles comin outta that cars exhaust eh? wrong just wrong....

The CRX Paint job was great I can't knock that... But the guy's reaction was rather annoying
CRX

Well that's just it... The show is NOT "Overhaulin'" or "Rides", it's "Pimp My Ride"!

You want to watch a good show like that, stick with Overhaulin' and Rides. Those are some cool shows, with quality work.

"Pimp" My Ride is for all the kids out there that are hooked on Cdn. Tire crap. My cousin spray painted his wiper blades red, and a few dash pieces and inserts red as well. He drools over that PMR show. Hell it's even on a video channel, not any of the DIY channels...

The title's a dead giveaway... IMHO, No car that looks "pimped" is done nice at all... Hard to explain I guess... Pimped = cheesy.

Where I come from and to the best of my knowledge when someone 'pimps' their ride, it was people who owned those old boat style cars like the Cutlass Supreme and Caprice Classics, Caddy's etc where they give u a cool paint job some hydraulics, bling & the fancy wire style rims (Which i think are ugly).

I like your point though its very true.
