Pioneer 1400W Shallow Mounts
Hey, I'm thinking about putting 2 of these in my 1991 gmc sonoma single cab what do you guys think? to much? im just wondering.
And if not 2 just 1? or a different system im running a pioneer head unit and pioneer speakers thought i should keep it in the family if you know what i mean.

Those are great subs for shallow mount, exactly what you need, they were made for pickups.
I wouldn't believe the 1400 wmax, nominal is listed at 350. Pioneer doesn't like to put RMS on speakers. Generally, rms should be around half of max.
I would suggest 500 wrms each on those speakers, so you need a PRS-D3000spl amp.
Yes, i would go with 2 subs. go big or go home.

The subs are listed with a rms rating of 350w rms each. So a pair of them with 1000w rms might be a little on the high side unless you plan on keeping the volume level down. Somehow I doubt this is the case as you are looking for a pair of subs though. Pay close attention to the amp that you choose. It should be optimized for operation at 2 ohm mono.
