The MSRP is $840US, according to Pioneer USA.
On Pioneer Canada's site it has an MSRP of $750 CDN.
So if you're getting it for $600, then that's probably a fair price.

If you're able, you could probably get a double-din unit that does the same as the 6300 for the same price. Just a matter of whether or not your car can accept a double-din deck. That way you could avoid some of the inherent problems associated with the motorized screen - you may never encounter a problem, but there's always the chance.
