The MSRP is $840US, according to Pioneer USA.
On Pioneer Canada's site it has an MSRP of $750 CDN.
So if you're getting it for $600, then that's probably a fair price.
Here's a video review of the unit, perhaps it'll help you with your decision.

I am always wary of motorized cd/dvd players.

If you're able, you could probably get a double-din unit that does the same as the 6300 for the same price. Just a matter of whether or not your car can accept a double-din deck. That way you could avoid some of the inherent problems associated with the motorized screen - you may never encounter a problem, but there's always the chance.

I've been using my 5900 for about 5 years now without any issues.

Pioneer has some good units ... Sony is coming out of nowhere though and stepping their game up, Alpine (at least double dins) are falling behind.

I support your Pioneer purchase
