Anyone have any experience with Pioneer factory refurbished head units? The cost savings are pretty significant but these carry only a 90 day limited warranty and may not look perfect. I'm looking at a refurb AVH-P7500DVD so it's still a lot of $$. Is there anything I should be particularly concerned about?

If you are finding refurbished product from Pioneer, it's not authorized product (at least from Canada). Companies can choose to purchase products & decide to create their own refurbishing program & that's why they only offer a 90 day warranty. The repair may or may not have been done to Pioneer's specifications & might not have even used Pioneer parts. This company also might be here today, gone tomorrow as there's probably no affiliation with Pioneer.
If you're considering spending that amount of money, I would definitely suggest you deal with a local retailer that can offer you a warranty & support from Pioneer of Canada. There might be some dealers willing to part with an AVH-P7500DVD for a good price as the AVH-P7600DVD has been available for almost three months now.
A question back to you, where did you find this unit? As I mentioned above, Pioneer doesn't have a refurbishing program so I'm curious as to who might do this type of thing.
Thanks & good luck!

Thanks Pioneer Guy for the good information. I won't be going the refurb route after all. I will be using a separate LCD monitor I already have for a back-up camera in combination with a new Pioneer DVH-P5000MP DVD receiver. Quite a bit less expensive though obviously less features too. The refurbished Pioneer equipment was from an eBay store; Hi-Fi Audio
