ya i wasn't sure about that. nothing would be shipped though. I would overlook and listen to everything first hand. but I would definitely be cautious.
several thousand though eh? I wasn't sure because the rs-k1 is very old model ODR headunit is it not?
anyone have first hand experience with these??? it is very difficult to find information regarding specs/ reviews etc on these items.

I guess the only real caution I would have is that you are buying a bunch of really old stuff that works together so if a piece of it dies, that could wipe out your system. And old stuff, regardless of how well it is treated, does die and it can be a real headache to get serviced.

ya thats a good point. I am opting against it I'm pretty sure. I already have a nice system...im just looking for a headunit or headunit processor combo. this package just happened to come together.
It's just so hard to find nice equipment nowdays it seems.
there are no longer and 7909, CD8061, P9, etc caliber decks made anymore.
aside from paying big bucks for f1 status, nakamichi, there is really just the drz-9255. and they can be really hard to find.
i like simplicity through necessity. If I don't need it, I don't want it. I'm tired of decks having foolish graphics, 'g force meters', 32million colours, bluetooth, ipod, steering wheel controls etc.... I don't own a cellphone, and I use a zune and I'm colour blind. ....well im not really colour blind.
....I may just suck it up and get a new DEH-P800PRS

Hi:
Would you mind telling me who was selling this kit by e-mail at sbuwalda@hybrid-audio.com? I am assembling an "old school" tribute system for a friend of mine that died about this time last year. I acquired all of his old school gear (seven PPI art series amplifiers, a bunch of OS Audio control, original gold Esoteric Audio fuse blocks, etc.) and told his wife that I'd like to build him a tribute system ca. 1995 (a car audio system that you might find in the 1995 era). The ODR gear would be a perfect fit for that endeavor.
The K1 is a cassette deck, rendered virtually useless by today's standards.
The remainder of the kit sounds about right at $1,000. Actualy, maybe a bit high. I sold a M1 changer, two P1's, a P50, two RS-D2's, and all of the cables about a year ago for $500.00 (before the idea ocurred to me to build this tribute system---every now and again you regret selling a piece of gear!)

Thanks dude. I haven't heard form him yet---I'll remain hopeful. It'll be the perfect fit for this old school tribute build.
EDIT: I'll be in the general area next week...I'm coming up for the Eastern Canadian Finals. I'll be at a shop in Oshawa/Whitby (east Toronto) tuning and tweaking cars. It'd be great to arrange an in-person eval. of the ODR stuffs...
