Pioneer Stage 4

lol, I never thought of them as a downgrade either.
less efficient topology sure. they cant be THAT inefficient though. I have not needed to upgrade my fusing at all (from zeds recommended sizing)
crossovers? i personally loved that they are filterless. that was one feature that drew me towards them.
power? I can honestly say I notice NO drop off in power. NONE.
ugly, i could care less what the amp looks like. as long as it performs.
but then again, whether you view it as a downgrade would simply depend on what your priorities in an amp are right?
personally it is still too early too tell, but all indications are I am going to like these amps a lot more than the last ones.
..and even if i don't in the end, change is fun.

So I have had my DEX-P99RS since they were released a while back, and the unit is spectacular.
With such a good experience with this headunit, I have been dying to use Pioneers Stage 4 amps.
So when a few became available to me, I couldn't resist picking them up!
These will be installed in the next few days. Just wanted to give everyone a look at what they are all about.
I am most excited about the A900's. Four channels, four gains, zero filters. It is just pure amplification.
I am going to have two A900's on my 3way front stage, and a 1200SPL splitting duties between my subwoofer and tactile transducer.
I'll give more thoughts on these amps once the install is complete and they are up and running.
In the meantime here are some pics of the amps!
