now i KNOW there are MUCH better options for the whole slim sub area but i figure the boxes will work out good and i can always put better subs in later. i will be leaving the tweeter part disconnected and just using the subs. i figure the 250 watt max was more for the tweeter, also i am thinking that each sub is good for at least 250 wats max not the two together. i will be powering these with a jbl grand touring amp. 580 rms at 2ohm RMS and 424 at 4 ohm RMS. im thinking of running these in 4 ohm just in case they really cant handle all that extra power.

any opinions and or suggestions would be great thanks

If you are getting them cheap, their okay, but like you said you could build something better.
