Porsche 911 install ideas?

Hi all, I have a 1985 911 I am loading up with gear and wonder if anyone has advice. So far I have collected a Rockford Fosgate Power 1000 (25 to life) amp and a JVC 4V 3xpreout headunit. I am imagining a set of shallow 10's in .5cu ft. sealed boxes behind the seats on the floor (fosgate has a nice pair), a nice set of 6.5 components in the doors. Currently the rear has 4x6's which I am not too keen on replacing, rather upgrading in size. There isn't a lot of depth in the back deck, only 3 inches maximum I'd say.

The amp is rated at 50x4 @ 4ohms for the front and rear channels with the sub doing 600x1 @ 2ohms. I think 300w per sub should be sufficient. I'm just not too sure about rear deck speaker sizes, or brands/models that give the best buckbang.

I bought a pair of Focal 6.5's on ebay but was refused the sale because speakers can't be shipped during the Olympics! Who knew...must be bomb paranoia or the magnets mess up detection electronics. Either way, I'm getting a second chance at choosing front and rear speakers and would appreciate any ideas.

Thanks!!!

The stock doors are 5.25 and the door panel is cut for a 5.25 but the metal of the door itself has a 6.5in cutout. I'd rather modify the door panels to accommodate a 6.5 than be stuck with not enough speaker to reach down the frequency range to meet the subs, if you know what I mean. There'll be tons of bass so I want to make sure the front and rears do as much as they can.

ok what i know is the soft top but lets see what i know
1 under the boot you have the batter on the right side of car as you look into the hood
there is a 1/2 size spair as you look into the car/hood/boot behind that is the gas tank
does yours have A/C ? if not you will have a hole on the right side of the car as you look into the boot
i have seen amps in the boot not alot of room but there is room in there

your sub will be a flat sub in the P side foot well or you can do a f/g sub box next to the back windo
crap sons up need to go

Hi, yes the amp is definitely going in the trunk. It's way too big to go anywhere else. =]

For sub enclosures I am looking at this for inspiration...

I'm wondering if I should consider 2 ohm speakers for the front and rear in order to get the most out of the amp. I'm confident the Power1000 is just as clean at 2 ohms 100 x 4 as it is 50 x 4 at 4 ohms.

I dunno, what do you guys think? 50w just doesn't seem like alot to me...and all the 6.5's I see that are rated for 50w rms look sub-par.

that in blue (all most 1987) is what i play in for along time untill the fire in it
do not run 2ohms speakers .use your 4x100 as a 2ch and do not have rear speakers
what did you pay for the 911 about 25-35

Hi thanks for the response. I am definitely going to have rear speakers, quality spatial sound imaging would be lacking without them. I've been able to find Infinity Kappas at 2ohms and 4x6 2ohms too, still researching!
