141 or 151? 141 seems pretty low even if it is a sealed box. My Daytona with 1 ported 15 and it's SQ system with a whopping 225watts on the sub did 139. Dukks car and it's SQ setup with 4 8's can pull mid 140s. Something must not be right.

why?

a guy at the last hzemall only pulled a 141 with 6 rockford 15s in a explorer, all in a sealed box.

that was 141 right above the whole setup too
</font>
depending at what frequency it was playing......

well my system is as follows..
-panasonic CQC7301U HU
-Kenwood 4ch amp bridged to 2 @ 200W RMS each channel
-pushing 2 12" Infinitys (yes, underpowering them by 100W.)
-Generic ported box.. haven't measured, but by the looks it seems like about 1.25 ft^3 in each chamber. No idea what its tuned at..?
-Stock speakers otherwise, but the bass is taken off these with the built in crossover in my deck.

I'm wanting to feel the kick drums
I listen to everything, but a lot of trance/techno, rap, metal, etc.

As soon as the bank lets me know its a go lol, i'm gonna be getting a mono sub amp to power the subs and i'll be getting some components up front to be powered by the 4ch.

what is your friend using.

building a different box might help.using a smaler sealed box might give you better drum kick.but you will have alot less output. do you have the t/s parameters for your subs?

It's like those old Pizza Pop commercials...

Baked, FRIED! Baked, FRIED!

Baked is good in it's own ways... But Fried has it good tastes and it's bad points too...

Well i think i'm gonna bake my subs instead of fry them

I don't have the t/s's for my sub right now since they're 3000 miles away, in my bedroom. (i'm in arizona right now) but i'm gonna jump on the net n see if i can find em.

Appears to be an Infinity ref 1230. I have 3 in my car. RYAN, I have mine in 4.5 cubes (net) and tuned to 32hz, driven by about 900watts rms. A slot port is used which measures 12.5"x 3.25"x 19". It is loud, deep, and sounds very good with all types of music(I like everything from opera to rap) and particularly good with kick drums and electric bass. If you have 2, then I would try the same set up. Using 3 cubes( I believe you have 2.5 cubes, so just add 2.5 lbs of polyfill to bring the effective volume up to about 3 cubes), use vents that are 10.5" (if they(2 vents I assume) are 3" in diameter), or 19.5" if they are 4" diameter. Use about 600 watts rms to power them(Pioneer gmd510M is an excellent amp for 350.00 brand new, that will give you that power). This will yield an excellent sounding all around subwoofer system. I spent a few weeks designing the enclosure specifically for those subs based on low port noise, deep bass, loudness, and quality. I was and still am very happy with the results. By the way, I also ran it by the Infinity tech department in the USA via e-mail, and they liked the design also. If you have any questions PM me.

check my website(top of this post) for pics.
