ported vs sealed

ported vs sealed

I have 2 12'' audiobahn dual voice 4 ohm with a jbl 600.1 in a sealed box in an extra cab truck if i swap them to a ported box will it be louder ? and also ive been looking for ab ox but there al so huge is the only way to get somethan custom made ?

ported usually, if not always requires a bigger box, 2 12's ported definitely will require a big box for an xtra cab, I'd consider a better quality single 12" sub that would handle more power and work well in a smallish box as you are space limited.

louder if built right yes, and i agree with MTT switching to one good 12 in a well built ported box would probaly be a better idea in your vehicle, also one good sub with more power in a ported box should be louder then two lesser subs with less power in a sealed box, but it depends alot on the sub/subs and the box... i went from a 12 - 10 in the same box, the ten is louder, same box same power just better sub....
