How is it ok to Bash a brand, or express your discontent with a shop you did business with.
But...
When anyone ever says anything bad about GCA they get crapped on?
Dont pick and choose Mods, be fair about peoples right to post. Or make rules and follow them. [img]graemlins/thumb.gif[/img]

It's libel, not slander.
Also, it's not either if it's true. No one even seems to dispute that people aren't getting their products. People bash FS and "big box" stores at will for non-reasons, yet if anything bad is said about GCA people jump all over you or the thread gets locked.
Regardless of HOW sick this guy is people that spent their hard-earned money deserve better than unanswered phone calls and emails.

I'm not the one who locked the threads, but I do agree with the decision. Here is the way I see things.
The thread about GCA is starting to get personal. Everyone wants to know what's up with Jon and claiming that his sickness is BS or just an excuse to not ship out orders.
I have met Jon numerous times and I know a small part of why they've been having problems sending out orders. (there is more than 1 thing)
I can assure you that Jon would ship if he could. He is a great guy, Martine is a great lady, and I would bet my entire life savings on them doing the right thing if they were able to.
Now, for people to come on here and call them out is complete BS. He is ill and the last thing he needs is to come on here and read this crap posted by people that know nothing.
Bashing a brand is one thing, bashing a person is another.
All forms of personal attacks on the board are moderated. This falls under the same circumstances.
No favouritism. Bash product/places and we let it go (to a certain point). Bash a person and the thread is closed.

When a business is run by a single person, or only 2, when they are sick they are unable to do their job. It's a chance you take when you do business with GCA. If you didn't do reasearch on the company before ordering it's not their fault.
Btw.. for people that are confused. canadiancaraudio.com is NOT affiliated with GCA.
If you want to find out about GCA, this isn't the place to do it.
The admins here have asked you to leave the GCA stuff off of the board. Respect their wishes or face the consequences.

That's all well and good, but have any of you noticed their website just happened to dissapear too? Things get hacked yes...but it just doesn't all add up. Them having time to put up a little page but not send one email to someone to let people know...I'm not bashing jon by any means, and if he is sick, I wish him well...but at least give your customers what they deserve. It's especially sad when ED is willing to take all the orders and have set things up to ship directly and they still won't forward the orders they already have money for, to ED so that they could ship direct.

IMO its none of your guy's buisness what is wrong with the guy.
I completely agree about your point about the buisness, but there is nothing I can say or do to help you. Unfortunatly there doesn't sound like many people can. Do what you need to do to get your product/money, but please do not come onto a public message board crap around.

I have too much respect for Jon and Martine. They don't want to share so why should I disrespect them like that?
I consider them friends. However you seem to have no respect for the privacy of an individual. Had you just said "it would be nice to know what happened to my stuff" I may have done what I could to help you out

GCA was the victim of an attack by the same worm that temporarely crippled canadiancaraudio.com, insanehertz.com, and many other forums as well. Info about that can be found HERE. By the looks of it they have not been able to recover from the hit yet.
This is the only comment I can/will make regarding GCA at this point in time.
