power??

allright i have 2 600wrms sub and the factory suggests a 1.5cf. each but heres my question if i make that size of box and i put in a 1500rms amp would it be ok or sould i shrink the box to compensate for the power. i am currently thinking of getting the clarion DPX11500 at 1500wrms at 1 ohm. or 2 alpine PDX600.1. .... i am just a daily driver but i would like to get a good loud SPL just for the fun of it

You'd definitely be fine with that box... it's only 300 watts headroom that you probably won't see anyway

well thats good to know... cause i was told by the local dealer is that if i add more power than what the subs are suppose to handle i should shrink the box a little bit smaller to compensate for the extra power. but something else i would like to to know is that witch amp would be the best choice clarion DPX115001 or the alpines PDX600.1???

I think he's got the right idea if it were a case of adding a lot more power, but really this only equates to another 150 watts per sub which I'd say is negligible... and like I said, the amp probably won't put out the full 1500 watts very often if ever to music. What impedance are the voice coils on your subs, and are they dual or single?
