Rockford Fosgate/Pyle/Power Acoustik are the shiznit, they pound/rock/thump/kick my civic/volvo/lada.

Seriously though, I would hop for Fosgate over Acoustik any day, but that doesn't mean that they still aren't overrated pieces of crap. Some birth sheets I've seen of those things, aswell as the prices I've seen them selling for, are enough to make my vomit on my cat. Sickening. If you can get a good price, and are realistic about what you will be getting, you should be happy with some RF products.

currently, i have a power acoustik ov2-300, 300W. i got it in an auction along with a kenwood deck and a pair of 5 1/4 150WRoad Rage, and a bazooka 12" in a box. I got that for just over 450 and then a phoenix wiring kits for $80 (reg 130). it was opened so he replaced what was missing and gave it to me. I went out and bought myself some kicker 4x6 as well with bass caps. im not using the 5 1/4, dont fit in my vehicle very well.

I'd have to say I've been impressed for the most part with the power acoustik amps.. I've used the a3000db and still have an a2400db kicking around - they've treated me quite well. I heard a pretty ridiculous setup a couple weeks ago that was using two of the 3000db's strapped; it was doing high 40's daily.

I have been thinking about upgrading my system and currently i like how the power acoustik look and how even the small 300W puts out enough power.

im undecided on what to get for a new amp, since im sorta on a budget(schooling) i dunno if i want to spend the money now on a good amp or cheap out now for a cheaper amp.

Would anyone know where to get some decently priced amps? futureshop/bestbuy are limited in models...

I have listened to all of those products. I got a bunch of buddies and since I'm working retail, albeit not in audio retail, I meet a whole load of people that have all of them in their cars aswell. While a lot of great sounds come out of how everything is setup and installed, the better brand names always seem to have that sweet crispness to them at the end of the day.

ebay? not authorized most of the time, but good prices. check out the caraudio.com home page. it has quite a few good places to buy. Also browse the classified on here. there are quite a few sponsers that sell good products for good prices.
