Pre-Out Question
#11
^^ you will not get any differnet signal from front or rear outputs, unless their are frquency bandwiths on them (ex. front=100hz-1000hz, rear=20hz-100hz) which in that case just use your front and not your rear. Just double check your deck specs.

Well, found an easy solution. Like I said, my sub amp runs off the rear pre-outs on the deck. However, after taking a closer look at my amp today, it has one set of preouts as well. Therefore, if I run a set of RCA's out of that and connect that to the rear input on the 4-channel, it should act the same as if it came off the rear pre-out on the back of the deck. Then it's just a matter of running a set of RCA's from the Front pre-outs on the deck to the front input on the 4-channel. Makes perfect sense to me, am I correct?

In a word....yes.
Personally, I would put the fronts on the same line as the subs. That way you still have fader control and you can change the signal going to your rears while you're sitting in the driver's seat.....which is a really good way to do it.....
Another 2cents worth....
