Punch 325.1 Options / Impedance???

I just bought a new Punch 325.1 amp at a price I couldn't refuse.

I'll be using this amp for sub(s) that have yet to be chosen/purchased. The amp is rated at 175 x 1 @ 4 ohm mono, or 325W x 1 @ 2 ohm mono.

I am still trying to wrap my head around the whole impedance/series/parallel ??!!!!!$#####.... can someone dumb this down for me and suggest some options for 1 or 2 8-12" subwoofer(s).

Will two 4 ohm subs rated for 1000W RMS, wired in parallel to a 2 ohm output of 325W acutally be getting 650W each?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

The two subs will only get 325 watts. That will be split between the two for about 162 watts each. One option is to get one dual four ohm (or single 2 ohm) subwoofer. As far as subwoofer choices it depends on how much space you can spare, musical tastes, ported vs sealed, etc. A few ideas are the MTX t5544, Infinity Perfect, Polk DB. I would recommend checking out what is offered locally for some ideas.
