puttin' new components in, install question

I'm putting in a set of components in a 2002 nissan sentra gxe, and was wondering if it would make any difference, if I installed the speakers into the actual door siding instead of behind it.

if you scroll down you can see what the speaker looks like. I was just wondering if I have it like this if it's going to sound bad/good or rattle a crap load.

That speaker is mounted to the door and has a grill on the front of the door panel. Cutting open the door to get an unobscured sound pathto your ear is technically good. But for all the ffort kickpanls would be phenominally better. Or doing a proper fiberglass door pod build. Just mount them solidly and sound deadenin your door and don't cut up your door panel Aftermarket grills don't look cool.
